Sign On Screen is a new communication service available for Deaf people whose preferred language is British Sign Language (BSL).  Sign on Screen offers users the opportunity to use an on-line video interpreting service as a means of communicating more easily in BSL with a wide range of hearing people who are using an ordinary phone. This is also known as Video Relay Interpreting (VRS).

Sign on Screen will also enable Deaf People to communicate in sign language with hearing people at short face to face meetings. This is also known as Video Interpreting (VI).

The software is currently FREE to download and all that is required is a computer with webcam capabilities and broadband internet connections. The online interpreting service is available 9am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday & 9am - 3pm Friday.
